Loving Me

I have a new name
that will free me from shame
as well as guide me to fame
I am called Victory
for I've been handed the surety
of knowing who I really am
and where I am to stand
I'm learning to see each delusion
as a false opinion leading me to seclusion
I am therefore making a favorable appointment
to turn each disappointment
into a treasured moment
to be used in my self development
and will improve my self-esteem
I will then be able to fulfill my dream
of turning into the one God intended me to be
I will be lovable, blessed and certainly free
My job is to accept the responsibility
regarding the times I put myself down
by playing the clown, as I worked to drown
the fear of rejection
while coming under the subjection
of the demon's suggestion
regarding my search for love in all the wrong places
This lead me to be confused by the many faces
if those who abused my body and my mind
till my psyche was wrecked – I couldn't hide
my embarrassment and shame
that attached themselves to my name
There was no point in camouflaging the emotional stress
that formed me into an emotional mess
I lived in a moment where I lacked the determination
to activate the elimination
of the painful tailspin invading my mind
I will always be thankful because God stepped in
and healed all the pain that was raging within
He cleansed my soul from all bondage and sin
and declared that He had set me free
Yes, my new name is Victory
I'm winning the game of loving me!
