See The Face Of Christ

Today I saw the face of Christ
In everyone that I met
I will admit that there were some
Of that fact caused me to forget

However His face was still present
Although it was hidden by their pain
It was only by the Grace of God
That my own temper I managed to contain

I feel and know of their frustrations
I know all too well their fear
But we all need to look around and see
That God is truly present here

We are a Community of believers
And if that is really truly so
Then we need to work and come together
And some things we must let go

I alone don't have all the answers
But I trust in God who does
His message is so very clear to me
A message not of hate but of love

I am not afraid of a battle
But I will never promote a war
I'm worried that just might happen
If we shut our communication door
