IS GOD TO BLAME?

Look all around you and can you tell me what you see?
A world without God; is that the way it should be?

Who needs God you simply say within your heart
He was never faithful; no not from the start

There’s no one even out there when I look around to see
There just cannot be a God; no God Who loves me

And even if there was a God, I don’t believe He cares
He is not my friend; He was never there.

For all I ever grew up with was with anger and abuse
He was never there to help; He has no excuse

But, if we’d all take a moment to be honest with ourselves
We could see the deeper truth; the story He wants to tell

You know, some things just happen in life because of choices made
Whether by you or by someone else; God is not to blame

He was always there with you, yes, throughout all those years
He tugged at your heart; But did you let Him dry your tears?

When it got really tough and you couldn’t make it through
Did you lean on His strength? Or did you simply refuse?

He was always there for you, maybe the church never was
The church will often fail; but God never does

So don’t look at the unanswered questions and focus the blame on God
He is not your problem; ya pinned the wrong One for the job

He loves you so deeply if only you would choose to see
Christ died to give you life; He wants to set you free

So when you look all around and you see a world that lives in sin
Remember that choices were made; don’t put the blame on Him
