"THESE TEARS"

There are Tears inside that no one sees
The pain is known between You and me

Lonely I feel, but never alone
You hold my heart, this heart of stone

Longing for a shepherd, but no fathering hand
Now only You can make me stand

Locked up inside, afraid to give out
You know what my life is all about

Dried and weary, not wanting to live
You see my heart yet wanting to give

Afraid to reach out, to be a friend
Knowing I’ll fail, the bond will end

Angry inside, just wanting to hide
People keep away, so there’s no one to guide

Pain resides here, here in this place
Longing for a touch, a loving embrace

Kept at a distance, because of these walls
Can nobody hear the faint-hearted call?

Lord, thank You for staying always so near
You see my heart and wipe These Tears

Thank You that when I feel so all alone
You’re always there to lead me home
