I'm so grateful for my life
You gave me another day
It's my joy to serve You
I pray my thoughts won't stray

For many times my mind will wander
And I forget what I'm supposed to do
As I try to focus on Your word
But I can't always follow through

At times I feel a burden
And anxiety fills my heart
Then I dwell on fears unknown
And my day didn't even start

But You want me in the moment
Not looking to the future or the past
And You will give me peace and love
All I need to do is ask

And I have called Your name today
To thank You for answered prayer
And I'm wishing I could understand
How very much You care

But tomorrow when my day begins
Those thoughts come into my head
And again I'm praying tearfully
Remembering all You've said

And I am asking one more time
Lord come and lift me up
I don't want to feel this way
So please please fill my cup

Don't let me waste another day
Wondering what You might do
I want to rest in Your loving hands
And put my trust in You
