"SURRENDER"

Lord, some say they see me growing
And at times I see it in part
But usually what I truly see
Is how much I’m missing the mark

As much as I want to grow close to You
I can see myself pulling away
There’s parts of me not wanting to yield
And it’s causing my heart to stray

So much I want to honour You
With each and every part of my life
Yet the strongholds rooted within my flesh
I hold onto with all of my might

There’s simply parts of me not wanting to change
Afraid of what I’ll have to go through
Oh, Lord, please make this vessel willing and open
So my heart can Surrender to You!
