A Godly Mom

A Mother is one designed by the creator
To bring to her family peace, joy and spiritual things that matter
She was chosen in a Godly family to be the heart
To teach of Christ, His Love and His instructions never to depart

As with the heart
In a family the mom is truly an essential part
She brings a civility
That is a blessing to everyone in her family

A Godly mother is truly a Gem
That keeps the family together and safe from mayhem
A mom that loves the Lord
Has her focus always Heaven Toward

Today it is getting hard
To find a mom that is not of this world marred
Our society has a twisted view
Of what motherhood is really about, believe me this is true

To her children she “must” always be a friend
And she must not teach of Christ or the Faith defend
She must not ask her children to do too much
To do so would show she is just out of touch

If the children do some wrong
“It’s not their fault” must be her unending song
All this on TV and magazines is readily taught
It is everywhere and doesn’t even have to be sought

Today, it seems as if there is only a remnant
Of moms that on the Lord are totally dependent
You can see who they are, for their children may act up
But they do not act totally bizarre and never quiet up

They tend to have respect for others as well as their mom and dad
And for their parents these children are truly glad
A Godly mom’s job is not an easy one at all
She teaches God’s Law, so the children for the Lord can stand tall

This mom teaches her children to put God First
And to always have a Spiritual Thirst
She teaches God First, a spouse and others next and themselves last
A Godly mom knows that this will bring true happiness that will last

Does each child of yours know the Lord?
Do they also realize that He is the one to be adored?
No child or parent is perfect
But in your children, can others “God” detect?

I pray that you are that Godly mom designed by the creator
And To this assignment you have not been a traitor
If so smile, when you think of each child and of the past
Those memories are there to bring Joy to you and a smile that will last

If you have children that have gone astray
Trust in God and for them pray
Give your child over to Him
You’ll find peace and be able to sing a Thanksgiving Hymn

It is never too late to be that Godly Mother
Even though your children may be grown and live with another
Be that Godly mom and pray for them
And trust God to deliver your children from the enemy’s mayhem
