Why won’t you repent?

Why won’t you repent?
Why not just say ‘I’m sorry?’
What? Your pride’s worth going to hell?
Why give in to the worry?
Why let deception lead you?
When it fills you with intense anger?
Why not trust in Jesus,
to lead you from the danger?
Why do you choose destruction
that follows torment and agony?
Why not just choose heaven?
That’s why Jesus died on Calvary.
He’ll save you from yourself;
He’ll beat your enemy.
All you have to do is repent,
and from bandage you’ll be free.
