Here I Am Again Lord by Kathleen Higham Here I am again Lord I know how much You care But my loneliness overwhelms me Sometimes it's hard to bear It's not just that I'm lonely In my mind I am alone I talk to myself and wonder Then I stare at my silent phone Lord I need a real person A voice on the other end An understanding human being Yes I pray for just one friend Someone that will listen And really and truly care Who will stay when I am miserable And no matter what be there You know I am missing my mate For he was my one true friend And I am angry that he is gone To me it was a tragic end Here I am again Lord I pray for direction from You I cannot feel this sadness forever Please help me see this through I'm told that time will heal me And time is what I've got But it doesn't really help me now So it is You that I have sought Here I am again Lord And for Your mercy I pray Give me someone to talk to Bring me just one friend today |
