Fleece
by mike bullock

I lay my life out as a fleece
To catch Your precious dew
And let it soak into the parts
That are devoid of You
For I am still so insular
An island out to sea
Come and land upon the rock
That is my heart to thee.

Here I am Lord, I've expired
There is no fight in me
I come as gently as a lamb
As quiet as can be
There is no hope in what I am
I've sinned and I repent
Take Your headstrong, willful child
Cause all of me is spent.
