FROM HERE TO ETERNITY
by Stan Arney © 2007

Life is short, it may last as long as one hundred years
Then those left behind, perhaps will shed a few tears
But your life will go on, for all eternity
The question is where will you choose for it to be

Imagine if you will, the great vastness of infinity
As time will go on forever, endlessly
Now imagine where you will spend your allotment
Will it be in Paradise with God, or as Satan’s servant

These mortal bodies are just a loan, a rental if you wish
Immortal bodies are ours to keep, in glory or anguish
Since you have chosen wisely, the Son of Man to believe
Are you beginning to wonder about what you will receive

You will be greeted by Jesus, what a wonderful sight
All the stars in the heavens never looked so bright
He will welcome you home, not as a servant but friend
Are you glad this moment shall never come to an end

You will be in God’s full glory with His Angels on high
You will finally get the answer to your question, why
You will be held accountable for the things you have done
All will be forgot and forgiven, by both Father and Son

What will Heaven be like, will the streets really be paved in gold
Was it just a metaphor or exactly as we were told
This new body will never age or again have any pain
Praise God for all His glory, His Kingdom will forever reign

Who would have believed when I left my mortal body
I would travel from there and on to life eternally
I wanted to thank Jesus firsthand for saving my life
Now I am with Him forever more, God bless the afterlife.
