BE OF GOOD CHEER
by Gertrude Jefferies

Be of good cheer, tho' the night closes round you
The eye of faith can pierce the darkest night,
And see the blue sky far above the storm clouds
Be of good cheer, I make the darkness light.

Be of good cheer, My grace will be sufficient
Fear not the storm, I'm strong when you are weak,
And in the centre of my strength I'll hide you
Be of good cheer, more safe you'll never be.

Be of good cheer, for I am walking with you,
Draw from my presence strength for all your needs.
This too, will pass; and heart and step be lighter
Be of good cheer, just follow where I lead.
