Lightbulb.
by mike bullock

Like a dodgy lightbulb
I'm flickering on and off
Waiting for the filament
To give it's final cough
One day I am full of light
And everything is fine
Then the darkness reappears
I walk a narrow line.

Perhaps it's my decision
To choose a preference
Between the two contrasting sides
If I had any sense
I'd settle for the peace and joy
That comes from knowing God
Or dark, depressing loneliness
I must give Him the nod.
