Greater Than Santa by Janette Lueveen Santa's in the mall – just follow the bells But Christmas is more than toys and elves. Let me tell you child, about a man who is greater He's the Son of God, our Good Shepherd, our Savior He left His throne to be born in a stable That my child, is a true story, not a fable He didn't wear garments of white and red But red was the color of the blood he shed He doesn't place toys under your tree But He was nailed to it, for you and for me He returned to Heaven, so that we'll know, Someday there also, we all can go He came to teach us to be wise and be good; To love one another, and do what we should He watches over us, every single day He see's our heart and knows how we play It's fun to ask Santa for toys and stuff, But if that's all there is, it's never enough Learn the difference between truth and pretend And you'll see that Jesus, is your very best friend |
