a Christmas carol
by bugsbugs0 © 2007

Follow the donkey to Bethlehem
He bears a precious load.
Mary and Joseph are on their way
Seeking a humble abode.

Hear the donkey, his joyous call
Watching the scene in the stall.
For there was born on that wonderful morn
A Child in a manger forlorn.

Now gives the donkey his proudest bray
Lauding the Babe as He sleeps on the hay
Christ was born today...
And He came to stay.
