Poor little Church Mouse by bugsbugs0 A poor little church mouse is not really poor for him there is always an "open door". there are morsels of host and drops of wine and at harvest time something that's extra fine barley and oats and cheese if you please (wonders will never, ever cease). No cats are present to give him fright no need to prepare for instant flight, he needn't pay taxes or work for the rent and lives in his mouse-hole fully content. Now here is a fact that you might find odd: a poor little church mouse is nearest to God. |
