Choose Friends Wisely
by Carl McKever Jr © 2007

In this world, there are good and bad friends
Some will depart and some will break your heart.
Some will be there for you all the way;
When needed, some will run or even stray.
Some will love and some will hate
Some will deny and some will participate.
Some will help carry your burden and lighten your load
Some will just kick you on the side of the road.
Some will lend a helping hand
Some will grunt and just sit there and stand.
So choose your friends wisely and make it right
Love them and they love you with all their might.
Friends are built substances by God
They are usually even and rarely or never odd.
They are nice and shiny like precious gold
During certain trials, their love is there to unfold.
