CHRISTMAS TIME by Tracy Scroggins © 2002 When this time of year draws near. People's smiling faces turns to drear. For the hustle and bustle of shopping is all around. Not a speck a Jesus Christ in all of this can be found. No stopping, no waiting, just pushing and buying. Trying to find the perfect gift. But the LORD'S gift they're denying. They push it away, NO THAT'S NOT FOR ME. They put it way back under their Christmas tree. But our LORD is almighty, and he's able to see. He extends His arms out and He'll give you a lift. And in your heart you can receive His GIFT. for our Savior was born so long ago. In that glorious Manger, so drafty, and cold. I give all my thanks to our Master above. for sending HIS SON, His symbol of LOVE. And His wonderful gift that He gave to the world. I will treasure forever, as a precious pearl. |
