The Choice

Every man stands facing Eternity
Like the future ahead, a certainty
Without a beginning, without an end
But with you always like a faithful friend
Never leave you alone, always there with you
Needing no one to be seen as true
Whether acknowledged or not you face him
So real, though intangible he may seem.

The day approaches when we shall see
The Truth revealed to you and me
While some in horror and others in glee
Shall finally embrace Eternity
If good is ignored will that be just?
So recompense surely is a must
While evil is dealt with in disgust
The righteous say, "In God we'll trust."

So now my friend what will you say?
As we draw closer to that dreadful day
When this fleeting world will cease to be
Will you be bound in chains or be set free?
Eternity joy for servants of the Light
Eternity gloom for servants of the night
So will you obey God's holy voice?
For today is the day to make the choice.
