The Perfect Rose
by Patricia Joan Polhans

This precious little Savior
from the manger came
To bloom into a perfect rose
whose destiny did not wane.
Who would've ever thought
that this tiny, wee rosebud
Would blossom into a Savior
that was sent from God above!
He would grow from a tiny shoot
who in the manger lay
And would bud into a Savior
who would give His life away.
So he hung there on that cross,
this rose between two thorns,
Knowing that this was why
He'd been born on Christmas morn!
