Little Bitty Tear!
by Patricia Joan Polhans

A little bitty tear let me down
When upon my cheek it was found.
No one knew just why it was there
It just seemed to sit alone up there.
Then, suddenly and without any warning
It was there again the following morning.
This tiny trickle of a small, wet tear
That someone seemed to place up there.
It multiplied in to torrents of rain
The tear that brought unwelcome pain.
Then, just when I thought they'd all subsided
They showed up again though uninvited.
Tho' my strength was gone I had many more tears
And I knew their end was not very near.
They flowed down my cheeks and off my face
Much to my embarrassment and my disgrace.
They grew and grew through my despair
So I just let them remain positioned there.
The tears that turned my smiling face
Into sadness with sorrow to take its' place.
When will they fade, when will they disappear,
The evidence of those tiny, little bitty tears!

Revelation 7: 17
"...And God will wipe away all every tear from their our eyes."
