Distant
by mike bullock

I'm feeling rather distant
I'm floating in my space
Surrounded by a large cocoon
That shields me from His face
Just lately I've not bothered
To keep in touch at all
Perhaps with what's been going on
Oblivious to His call.

But He is still here with me
A patient One is God
He knows that I blow hot and cold
As on my own I plod
I praise Him for His comfort
He really loves this child
Soon the fog will surely clear
And we'll be reconciled.
