Incoming Fog
by Michelle Wells

As I drive down life's highway,
And I see the road ahead,
I wonder if I am dreaming,
Because the life I see, I dread.

I long to do a U-turn,
And go the opposite way.
I long to live the life that has passed,
Just once again today.

What I see ahead of me,
Is not as clear as before.
The exits that were once open to me,
Somehow God has closed its door.

Why am I forced to go down this path?
The picture's not as clear as I once knew.
The pains of life's travel,
At one time, so small, have now grew.

There's not a choice to get off this road,
Another route is no option to me.
I must endure what lies ahead,
I must face the giant my eyes begin to see.

God becomes my guide,
Faith becomes my key.
Life becomes the vehicle,
To get me to my destiny.

As I approach my obstacle ahead,
My driving speed, God begins to log,
He wants me to remain steady and believe,
I can make it through the "Incoming Fog."
