Eve and The Deceiver
by Catherine M F Camarda

What was it on the day?
That made Eve to go a stray,
she did not think of God's omnipotent plan.
She took the matter into her own hand.
For she was plainly told
"of this tree only behold,"
and yet that awful deceiver, did sway her,
that she could make life a little bit clearer
if only she could comprehend
the difference between a woman and man,
and knowledge, would help her to understand
....And thus came the fall of man!
So it is thru the sweat of our brow,
that we work so hard then and now,
for this is the price that we all paid
for allowing lives to be wrongly swayed.
For when God gives us instruction
it is always for our good; and never for our destruction.
And yet we all some how...don't listen still,
for the price would mean to give up our free will.
