Jesus Skinned His Knees For Me
by Linda T Reich

I tripped on a step in church today,
It took me by surprise.
I fell to the floor with lightning speed,
Quickly I did rise.

I skinned my knee and then it started,
The throbbing and the pain.
I sat there thinking how it hurt
But didn't Jesus experience the same?

The road to Calvary was long,
He traveled it for me.
The cross was heavy as He fell
And willingly skinned his knees.

Thank you God, I see it now.
I thought I understood.
I'm thankful for this lesson, small
It all was meant for good.
