Be Still and Know
by Deborah Smith Plemmons

"Be still and know that I am God."
These words ring out so clear.
A quiet time alone with Him,
Will not cause us to fear.

A quiet time: morning, noon, or night;
We should go to Him in prayer.
For if we talk to Him each day,
We'll know that He's always there.

It's never God that leaves us,
Nor forsakes us in any way.
It is our leaving the Father,
By not praying to Him each day.

"Be still and know that I am God."
May these words a part of our lives be.
For God will give us peace and quiet;
A restful life in Him we will see.
