Can I Sign Your Name This Day?
by Danette Kettwich

Lord, You tell me I should go.
You tell me what to do.
I jump in and get started,
Then I don't follow through.

How many bricks have I paved
On the rocky road to hell?
With all my good intentions,
Oh Lord, I'm afraid to tell.

Lord I often hear your voice
But I let it slip away
Water running through my hands
Can I sign your name on this day?

I don't want to look back on
A life full of missed chances
Not a life of regretting
Contemplating circumstances.

Can I sign your name this day?
Do I dare tell of Grace?
Be the guide upon my way
And end the day with your embrace.
