One day, a woman came to see Elisha.
"Please help me!" she said. "I've got a huge bill to pay, but I'm too poor to pay it!"
Elisha felt sorry for the woman.
"Have you no husband?" he asked.
"No," said the woman, "my husband is dead, and my two sons are too young to earn - so I will have to give them away as payment."
