No Strings Attached: Couch Potato

Couch Potato

Mrs. Twitch scampered across the paddock, crouched low and ducked through a gap in some old boards, then she scittered down a hole in the floor of the barn.

"I have it! I have it!" she squeaked.

Her husband wiggled his nose and waited for her to tell him what exactly she had.

"I was listening to the farmer talking!" said Mrs. Twitch, "And I heard the most wonderful word! Oh it was so delicious!"

"What was it my dear?" Mr. Twitch asked.

"Potato!" said Mrs. Twitch, "Now isn't that the most mousical, the most whiskery word you've ever heard?"

But every baby is a precious baby, so it shouldn't be surprising to know that good mother mice always try to think up new and original names for theirs. Which is why Mrs. Twitch was so excited at finding the lovely new name for her little boy baby mouse.

"Potato sounds like Spanish to me?" said Mr. Twitch, "Or Mexican? Are you sure you want to call him that?"

"Quite sure!" said Mrs. Twitch, "Now I have Esmeralda, Jasinth, Carotid, Catastrophe, and Potato. Fine names for a fine litter of beautiful children!"

"They aren't children," objected Mr. Twitch, "Only
