Treadmill

When we live for ourselves we have no real purpose except our own pleasures or desires. But having that as our purpose in life will not get us through difficult times. This kind of living leads to broken commitments and thus broken hearts. This kind of living is like being on a hamster wheel, accomplishes little, gets us nowhere. Like walking on a treadmill gets us nowhere! But living for God gives us purpose. We can accomplish the really important tasks in life successfully. His purpose will satisfy us both in this life and in the life to come!
