Rabbits are fun to keep, but they must be properly cared for. Here are some tips for rabbit-lovers:
Make sure your rabbit has a good, strong cage. Here is a design for a cage which gives the rabbit a strong, warm bed, plenty of sunshine, and fresh grass. You can move it round the lawn from day to day.
Rabbits will live on just grass, but they like all sorts of things. You can pull up weeds as well as grass, and throw in some wheat, bread, barley or lucerne pellets. They also like apples, carrots, turnips and other vegetables. Many of your kitchen scraps can be given to the rabbit. Don\\\'t feed the rabbit deadly nightshade, foxgloves or things which you don\\\'t know about.
Rabbits can catch a cold, so make sure you have given it a good, dry bedding. Wood is a good insulator.
