Wording of this Handout:
Now dogs, as you probably know, have very good sniffers, so some dogs were trained during the war years to find things buried under the ground. They could sniff out wood, glass, metal and plastic, (things which mines could be made of) Many people were saved from injury when these dogs were on the job.
On one particular day, during a training session, seventy five mines were planted in a field, and the dogs were set free to sniff them all out. They found only seventy four of the mines, so the army men thought the dogs must have failed. .. but when they dug up the mine which the dogs had missed, they discovered that it did not have any explosive in it.
Somehow the dogs had known that this mine was harmless!!!
A mine is a bomb which an enemy hides under the ground. When someone stands on the mine it blows up.
Who made the dog's amazing nose? God the creator.
