Wording of this Handout:

Many animals need a cleaning service, but as there is no shop they can go to, they have to rely on other animals to do this for them.

Apes and monkeys groom each other, and the hippopotamus lets a fish poke around inside its mouth. Crocodiles are cleaned by a bird - even inside its massive jaws, and the ox has an oxpecker bird to keep it clean.

The ocean Sunfish lets seagulls pick nasties off its scales, and the Nassau Groper lets little fish, called goby, nibble its sides.

Some fish change colour when they are being cleaned. The Black Sturgeon goes from black to blue, the Goatfish goes from brown to pink!

When God created this world, He designed many animals to do a cleaning job for each other. That is why Nature usually looks its best. Co-operation and looking after others is the best way to run a planet.
