Wording of this Handout:
Hey! Remember me!?
I was the man you said was a leper!
Oh no!
He's been healed!
It's probably the work of that man Jesus!
I wish he'd leave things as they are!
Oh well, I suppose we have to cross his name off the list of lepers - that's another one gone!
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Well now, let me see, if you have a chicken, it must have come from and egg, but if you have an egg, it must have come from a chicken . . . So you have to start with a chicken or an egg
But eggs have to be laid by chickens, and chickens can't lay anything but eggs.
Perhaps a dog laid an egg and it hatched out as a chicken? No, that wouldn't work, because dogs have baby dogs.
Perhaps a duck laid an egg and it hatched out as a chicken? No, that's impossible too because ducks have ducks, and that's all ducks have.
Chickens had to come from somewhere . . . I wonder if the Bible can help?
Genesis 20
"God created . . . every winged bird . . ."
So that's what came first. God was there before the chicken, and then God made the first chicken, and the chicken laid the first egg ever laid by a chicken.
Its so simple when you read the Bible!
