Wording of this Handout:

Here is what the dictionary usually says:
"In a relatively short time dinosaurs of many different kinds died out mysteriously from the earth. One possible cause was a climate change. Another possible cause was the impact of a meteorite, which caused the temperature of the world to drop."

What evidence do we find?
Almost all dinosaur remains are fossils, and most of these fossils are preserved in sedimentary rock.

Sedimentary rock is formed by water.
The rock is formed as wave after wave of water flows over land or sea, dropping shingle, mud and other debris.

If the dinosaurs died out because of a climate change, there would be almost no remains of them. They would have rotted away quickly, just as all living things do today. And even if the world's climate had been colder, the dead dinosaurs would not last long.

The fact that we find fossilized dinosaur bones in sedimentary rock shows that the dinosaurs were killed by drowning. They were swept away by flood waters and buried quickly by mud, shingle and debris.

Along with dinosaur fossils, the remains of millions of other plants and animals are also found. In fact, if we look at places all over the world, we find millions and millions of animals and plants buried and preserved in sedimentary rock.

The evidence points towards a worldwide flood, which wiped out all animals and plants very quickly, before they could rot away.

Just as the Bible say - see Genesis 6, 7 and 8.
