There is a beetle which lays its eggs in the charcoal and wood ashes after a fire has been through. It can spot a fire as far away as 20 miles (32 km), flies quickly to the spot, and lays its eggs in the freshly-burned wood.
How does it do this? By 'seeing' the heat with specially designed organs on its chest.
The beetle that likes fires!
As far as anyone knows, this beetle is the only creature on earth which can 'see' heat this way.
