Wording of this Handout:

Once upon a time, a little mouse happened to disturb a lion by waking it up from a snooze. The lion pounced on the mouse, and made ready to eat it.
"Please don't!" cried the mouse, "If you let me go, I will do you a service one day!" The lion laughed at this, but he let the mouse go anyway. Some time later, the lion fell into a trap, set by humans. He was held tightly in a net of rope, and he couldn't get himself free. Along came the mouse and looked at the lion. "I can bite my way through those ropes" said the mouse. So he did, and the lion was set free. "I am sorry I scorned you" said the lion, "I see now that, with a change of fortune, even the king of the beasts may need the help of the weakest little mouse!"

The moral: Be kind to people who are weak. You may need them some time.
