When God made the world, He was very creative. He made lots of wonderful things, all different from each other and wonderful to see.

Elephants with long noses.
Snails with no feet.
birds with feathery arms.
And hippopotamuses with great big mouths!
Crickets with fiddles on their legs.
Frogs made of rubber.
Lizards with frilly necks.
And crocodiles with teeth to spare!
Funny, peculiar, strange and weird.
Ugly and silly and mysterious
Animals of every size and shape and color.
And when God was finished making them all.
He made people.

Here's something for you to do: draw some of one animal and some of another, and see if you can come up with a whole new animal. then give it a name. Elehippo, oardduck, chickemu, crocatiger, ostallaby, kingfisheraroo?
