205 - Jesus

Jesus.
This is a nice little story about Jesus....probably not true but still makes a good point.
There was once a jockey, who had a room full of trophies, medals and certificates. He was very pleased with all the honors he had won, and he liked to stand in his trophy room and admire all the accolades.
But then on day a friend of his gave him a beautiful painting, a portrait, of Jesus. The jockey hung it in a space on the wall of the trophy room.
A few weeks later the friend came to visit the jockey, and when he looked in the trophy room he notice that all the trophies, medals and certificates had been moved out, and all that was there was the portrait of Jesus. He asked whey this was so.
"well" said the jockey. "At first I liked the picture alongside the trophies, but after a while I decided It just didn't look right, so I made a space round it. but the longer the face of Jesus was there, the less important all my trophies seemed to become, till eventually I decided to just use the room for the portrait.
In a way, this story tells us about what it is like when Jesus comes into someone's life. He is so important that eventually the only thing the Christian wants is Jesus, wile all the trophies of life take second place.
I've gone and put a picture of Jesus in my bedroom!
