Wording of this Handout:

Who to blame?

There are some people in this world who say "Alcohol is evil." OTher people blame "gambling" for society's troubles. There are little ( and large ) groups of people who think that various "evils" should be eliminated, and IF these things were eliminated, they say, the world would be a happy place.

There is a campaign going on right now to ban smoking everywhere. Another campaign rages over drugs of many kinds. Another group wants "free trade" and a single currency for the world. Some people think if the whole world spoke English things would be better.

I'm not saying that these things are good or bad, but the fact is, they are all symptoms of something else. Gambling, smoking, and all the other problems people have are not the real problem - they are the result of their inability to be good.

Jesus went straight to the heart of the world's many problems by saying that once the inner person is changed, the outer person changes with it. This may be a very obvious ting to Christians, but the people of the world just cannot see it!

You silly twit! The dirt is on the inside of the window!

The Bible says: "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he shall give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4
