273 - Only God knows the Future

Only God knows the future.

One of the most interesting things I know about Satan is the fact that he can't see into the future. Oh sure, he can make clever guesses, and he can make all sorts of hopeful claims, but he doesn't really know much more than you or me.

How do I know?

Because he wouldn't have done what he did in order to have Jesus sent to the cross if he had known the resurrection was coming soon afterwards, and that set the seal on his own doom. Because time and time again he musters opposition to God, yet the Bible predicts the outcome - Satan's defeat. Why does Satan bother to use tactics which God has already described, and which lead to conclusions which God has already declared?

There are people who claim to be 'mystics', or 'clairvoyant,' and often they make quite accurate predictions. There are several reasons why this happens: 1. Lucky guesses, 2. Educated guesses, 3. Demons are helping. But all 'mystics' make mistakes. No true prophet of the Living God ever makes a mistake.

Tomorrow you will er...wake up...after sleeping...um...in a bed...and then will eat some...er...food and drink...some...water or something...
