Stories of Jesus

One day Jesus heard that a friend of his had been killed. He was very sad, so he went away for a while, to be by himself. He just wanted to be alone for a while.

But lots of people found out where he was, and then came walking over the hills to find him. Soon Jesus was surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of people.

Jesus put aside he feelings and started to help the people. He healed many of them, and taught them, and soon the day was over.

"What are all these people going to eat?" asked one of Jesus' friends.

"You feed them" said Jesus.

"But we have nowhere near enough food!" said his friends, "All we have is five little loaves of bread, and two fish!"

"Bring the food to me" said Jesus.

He ordered all the people to sit down on the grass, then he looked up into the sky and said something like this: "Father, I thank you for providing everything we need."

Jesus started to break the loaves in half..... and as soon as he had two halves, the halves turned into whole loaves! He kept breaking the loaves in half, making more loaves, and more loaves, and more loaves, and more loaves, and more loaves, and more loaves, and soon his friends were carrying huge loads of food about!

When all the people had eaten all they could, there were twelve big baskets of bread left over.... and about ten thousand people had full tummies!

To tell telling tales in the gales;
But the waves bumped his head
So he ended his tale with some wails.
