Genesis is history

Some people - even some misguided but sincere Christians believe that the story of Creation is not to be taken as literally true. They say it is either a "fairy story," or a "myth" or an "exaggerated poem."

There are many good reason why these views are totally wrong. One is the fact that Jesus believed in creation, and so did Paul and other writers.

Another reason is the style in which Genesis is written. It is definitely not a poem, nor does it sound even remotely like a myth. It reads like a slice of plain, ordinary history, full of facts and figures, dates and people, events and customs common to the cultures of the day.

A third reason is the fact that modern science has only one alternative to creation - evolution, and this belief has been shot down so many time by good, basic science it is a wonder that anyone still believes it!

The idea that Creation is not exactly as Genesis states is because Satan has been spreading his lies in the pulpit, the schools, the universities and almost everywhere, and many ignorant and gullible people have swallowed these lies.

Suddenly I think I love history!!
