Clay goes hard.

Have you ever done modelling with clay? If you have, you will know that the clay comes soft and slighly wet, and ready to use. At that stage it is sealed in plastic, to stop it form drying out.

But once you open the bag and start working the clay, it beginsto lose its dampness. When you bend it, cracks appear, and it becomes more and more difficult to shape.

Clay teaches us a good lesson about our own character.

When we are young, we are easier to shape and mold than when we are older. We are still leaning about the world, and making up our opinions. We are able to learn many new things because we have more energy. Life is fun and full of character-shaping events.

But when we are older we tend to live on what we learned in our early years. Habits are often set, and attitudes are difficult to alter. Just like clay, we need to work on ourselves while we can, before we harden and become more difficult to shape. we need to redeem, or buy back the time - use it profitably and not waste it.

I'd look better in gold!

The Bible says "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."
(Ephesians 5:16 New King James Version)
