The Challenge

One of the most interesting things about being a Christian is the way if forces you to think about everything. By this I don't mean the really deep things, although that comes into it too, for some people, but usually it means thinking about simple things, like what is right and wrong, and whether something should be done or said, and if so when?

For example, some Christians think they should not eat meat, while other love all kinds of meat. Some Christians don't believe in joining the armed forces, while others are only to happy to fight for their country.

The main thing is, when comes to the final decision, are we sure in our own heart and conscience that what we are doing or saying is OK between us and God.

The Christian life is always a matter of one person walking with God. Me and God. No-one else is allowed to look in. Its a personal, and utterly private friendship.

So even if everyone round us object, if we are sure of our decision before God, that's all we need to know.
