Wording of this Handout:
The busy life.
The average young person today is very busy! Thee is school all day, five days a week, with all the other things attached, then there is the bus or bike ride home, getting changed, food, TV, homework, and perhaps a music or drama practice. Int the weekends there is sports, and maybe a trip to town, videos and computer games, social occasions and outings, hobbies, music and a dozen other things, all crowded in.
Hard-working Christian kids go to bed quite late, and tired, and the though of spending time with God in prayer or concentrating on Bible-reading is often too much for them. Its a pity that God is so often left at the end of our pleasures, and jobs, but that's how it usually goes.
However, there are still young people who love God so much they actually desire to be close to him. The always make a point of reading spiritual things - a good Christian novel, or video. They pray through the day, in the little gaps when they are not doing anything too pressing. They walk with God in every part of their lives.
This kind of Christian living is all part of an ongoing delight which some Christians have, and they are usually the ones who live victorious lives, right to their old age.
I was going to do great things for you - but you were too busy to ask me!!
The Bible says "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his Law he meditates day and night."
(Psalm 1:2 New King James Version)
