The Rescuer
Imagine you are walking along a riverbank when suddenly the ground gives way and you fall into the swirling water! You try to reach the bank but the current is too strong. You start to swallow wager. You go under. Gasping you realize that you are going to drown!
But a man on the river bank sees you and dives in. He swims across and helps you to safety. You than him for saving your life, he smiles and walks away.
The next day you are with your friends, just chatting about the weather, when you see the man who saved your life coming towards you. What do you do?
A. Turn away, embarrassed, and hope the man doesn't see you?
B. Make a joke and get you friends to laugh at the man?
C. Excitedly point at the man and tell your friends what he did for you?
The correct answer is C.
If you are a Christians, you will appreciate what Jesus has done for you. Hell was waiting for you, but Jesus got in the way and died on the cross to pay the price for your sins so you wouldn't have to go to Hell. You took that offer and Jesus saved you. Do you want to tell your friends about it?
The Bible says "Whoever confesses Me before men, him (or her) will I also confess before My Father who is in heaven."
