Amazing things in the Bible

The Bible is an amazing book. It contains stories and facts which are really astonishing, yet when we read it we sometimes forget how astounding these facts are. Just for a moment consider these things.

The oldest man in recorded history was Methuselah, who lived 969 years! The largest flood actually covered the whole planet about 5000 years ago! The biggest boat built before 1900's was used for only one year! The most prolific father was Abraham who started whole nations off - including Arabs and Jews.

The largest single migration was when Israel left Egypt - about 3,000,000 people in one day! The most long-reaching crime was when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. The most amazing recovery was when Jonah came out of the sea monster after 3 days. The largest promotion was when Joseph went from condemned prisoner to second-in-command of Egypt.

But out of all these things, the most amazing is the love of God for you and me.
