Jesus' Words
I was sitting on the dark, bottom bunk in a YWAM base in Tijuana on a mission trip. I tried to tell my story in a way that would capture it's significance to me.
Differences in Culture
I went on a mission trip to Tijuana, and I wrote this about some of our differences in culture and how only God's Love can cross some barriers.
On Bethlehem's Nightsong
This poem holds a unique perspective of what was going on in Bethlehem and surrounding areas on that sacred night. I like it because it gives me the thrill of hearing a familiar story over again and still feeling everything anew.
Identity Theft
I was trying to find my identity, but I realized it doesn't matter so much WHO we are as WHOSE we are. In God we should find our identity.
The Shadow Girl
At speech club they handed out (for fun) unique awards to each of us. I got the "Still Water Runs Deep Award" 'for my intellect'. That inspired this poem that could back up a award like that. :-)
