Poems by Kevin Smead

Instructions to the Anxious
We all face anxiety, there can be no doubt about that. The only question is, what should we do with our anxieties and concerns? The wise thing to do is to cast them on the Lord and rest in Him.

He is There
This is a poem about the faithfulness of God and how we can depend upon Him. As we seek His face and learn to trust in Him more, our joy will overflow.

My Son My Brother
This is a poem about the joy that I feel when I reflect upon the fact that my son is a believer and has trusted in Jesus as his Savior. Not only is he my son, but he is also my brother in Christ.

Every believer struggles with the trials that they face, especially when contrasted with the way that many unbelievers seem to prosper. This poem addresses our struggles and rehearses the biblical answer to our nagging questions on this subject.

The Wonderful Exchange finalist in poetry contest

The Missionary's Resolve
This poem is based upon the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans 1. As the title implies, these words can also be spoken by other servants of God who are dedicated to the missionary endeavor to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.

We sometimes find ourselves so busy pursuing our own dreams and ambitions that we forget the true purpose of our life. We let busyness take over our lives and it always brings us depression and anxiety. We need to get alone with God and refocus .
